Bratislover

We'd seen pretty much all we wanted to see in Vienna so we took a day trip to Slovakia today. Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, is only a little over an hour train ride from Vienna. The round trip ticket only cost 14 Euros, so we didn't even have to use up a travel day on our rail passes. We both had pleasant naps on the train and woke up in a completely different country. It never gets old, how great it is to just hop from country to country! One of the cool things about Bratislava is that it's basically a walking city. We got to the train station and had no problem finding our way on the 20-minute walk to the city center.

The first cool thing we saw was the changing of the guard at a palace (one of the like, 5, that Bratislava has). Even though there were only 5 soldiers, it was still really neat.

We kept walking and made our way to the main square. We went into a couple of neat shops and then met a new friend:

We really didn't do anything specific in Bratislava. We just really enjoyed exploring and looking at all the neat Baroque architecture.

We had a delish dinner at a place called Jazz Cafe and then made our way back to the train station and Vienna.

Also, our friends in Orlando, Kate Zaloumes and Candace Neal, are in a video contest for Ingrid Michaelson's "Everybody" music video contest. You should go watch it. We LOVE them and everybody in it!

XOXO K&R
